"The Sensible Alternative"

“The Highest ideal of cure is Rapid, Gentle, and Permanent restoration of health”

Samuel Hahnemann (1755-1843)

Amanda Hamilton-Pryce RSHom Lic LCCH MAR LTphys
is currently specializing in combining Homoeopathy and Reflexology to treat menstrual problems and unexplained infertility whilst also offering combination treatments during pregnancy, labour and for post natal care. "I believe that Complimentary Medicine is fast gaining the respect that it deserves and is increasingly the first choice for women looking for non-chemical, gentle remedies that combine powerful treatment with effective prevention." says Amanda.

"Homoeopathy and Reflexology offer safe, natural drug free treatment for conditions that affect women at all stages of their lives. Complimentary Medicine can provide safe treatment often benefiting anxious and stressed patients, particularly when dealing with sensitive issues, which is why I am dedicated to an holistic approach to healthcare”.

They are also the perfect answer to the question of how best to treat childhood diseases and conditions without having to resort to antibiotics, lotions and creams that can suppress a child's immune system.

HOMOEOPATHY

WHY HOMOEOPATHY

Homoeopathy is based on the Law of Similars. This states that any substance which can cause symptoms, whether physical, emotional or mental, to appear in a healthy human being, can restore to health an individual showing similar symptoms when they appear as a deviation from the normal functioning of that person. The major difference between conventional (allopathic) medicine and Homoeopathic prescribing is that We treat the whole person and not just the condition. The mental, emotional and physical characteristics are all considered, as well as previous medical and family history, together with the presenting symptoms, in order to get a complete picture of each individual in dis-ease. That means that two people with the same symptoms may very well need a different remedy.

THE HOMOEOPATHIC CONSULTATION

The homoeopathic consultation is very important to the selection of the remedy. It is not only from the symptoms related by the patient, but also by understanding the person that we are able to prescribe the most suitable medication. After your first appointment which will probably last approximately 1½ hours, your remedy will be sent to you. You will probably be asked to wait one month before a follow-up appointment, this is to give the remedy plenty of time to trigger the body’s natural healing process. During this period, you may experience a slight aggravation of symptoms. This is usually a good sign and is followed by amelioration (improvement) of the complaint and an increase in general well-being. As you improve, old symptoms which may have been experienced years before may return for a short time. Please don’t rush off to your doctor for the treatment you used to have for these symptoms. They are a good sign!!

YOUR REMEDY

Let the pill dissolve under your tongue. Do not swallow it whole and please do not drink, eat or clean your teeth for fifteen minutes before and after taking the remedy. Spilled medication should not be returned to the container.

If during the time between visits you have an acute episode – please contact me before taking medication. The acute may represent the surfacing of symptoms as a result of the remedy and should not be suppressed. Often, the question arises. How long will it be before I am cured? This is sometimes difficult to predict. Each individual case is different and cure depends on how much there is to unravel. Deep-seated aliments which may have been around for years don’t disappear overnight. So please be patient.

REFLEXOLOGY

WHAT IS REFELXOLOGY?

Reflexology is a science linked to ancient Chinese and Ancient Egyptian therapies such as Shiatsu and Acupuncture and is based on the principle that every part of the body corresponds to a precisely located point on the feet (The anatomy of the body being reflected in miniature). The link between the feet and the organs, glands and other body systems is a series of imaginary longitudinal lines, each encompassing a specific zone. When the body is relaxed and the nervous system stimulated, the perfect opportunity is created for healing to take place.

YOUR REFLEXOLOGY TREATMENT

A typical Reflexology treatment lasts for one hour for an adult and usually forty minutes for a small child. All reflex points in both feet will be worked on with certain reflex points being of great importance in particular conditions than others. At the end of a treatment, attention will be given to these important areas and often any tenderness experienced previously will have disappeared or been greatly reduced. Reflexology does not involve the use of needles or medication. Reflexology reduces stress as well as inducing deep relaxation and can therefore compliment any healthcare work.

THE BENEFITS OF REFLEXOLOGY

From an anatomical perspective, each foot has thirty three joints and is innervated by thousands of nerves. By using specific reflexology techniques, the nervous system can be stimulated in a very positive way. Reflexology combines anatomical knowledge with skilful therapeutic work. Reflexology is a gentle form of natural healing offering help that can be given for a wide range of disorders including migraines, sinus congestion, stiffness in the neck and back, digestive problems, hormonal problems, heart conditions, kidney problems and many more.

Reflexology is simple, but its results can be remarkable.
